Horray!!! We have only gone and done it,  we have survived a whole year of lockdown life and the summer sunshine is in sight! You and your reusable straws are going to have a whale of time this summer!!!

We have paired up with one of our gin loving friends (Ali Cooper) to bring you a selection of the best gin cocktails to enjoy this summer with your reuable straws! So sit back and relax and enjoy our top 5 gin cocktails with friends this summer (socially distanced obviously)

1. Strawberry & Watermelon Cooler

This drink is definitely  one for a hot summers day! It is inspired by Wimbledon on a hot summers day! Tall cocktails always deserve a reusable straw!

Glass preparation-  Dip glass into watermelon juice then into Sugar to create a crystallised finish around glass. Next slice cucumber with a potato peeler and wrap long lengths of cucumber around the inside of your glass to create a swirling effect.

Then muddle 4 strawberries in a cocktail shaker. Add 50ml Strawberry & Cream gin (or something similar I used @poeticlicensedistillery gin), 25ml Midori, 80ml Watermelon juice & ice. Shake with a wiggle of your hips and strain into your cocktail glass of choice. Top up with soda & garnish with mint - “Sip” back and enjoy using a reusable straw!

You will need .....
50ml Strawberry & Cream @poeticlicensedistillery gin
25ml Midori
80ml Watermelon juice
4 muddled strawberries
Soda

2. Pink Gin Ice Tea Recipe

This ice tea is perfect for summer days and is delicious if you like a strong ice tea! Any pink gin can be used but i find Mistral Gin works well with the as its infused taste of garrigue herbs works well with the thyme, mint and grapefruit.

Add 100ml of gin, spiced rum & elderflower syrup into a cocktail shaker with ice and shake well. Pour into large jug or decanting bottle. Add 100mls of grapefruit juice & 2 camomile, green tea and mint tea bags and stir. Finally top up with soda leaving your tea bags in for both garnish and decorative purposes!

You will need.....
